I wrote this devotion for my girls club group and it was really good reminder for me to be thankful. Eterenally thankful.
I want to encourage you to be grateful. Truly grateful.
For things like a lunch.
And a cookie in your lunch.
And a bowl to eat your cereal out of.
And a bed.
A warm bed.
Or a cold bed, but a bed.
For a smile from a friend.
For a smile from someone that doesn’t usually smile.
Or a smile from someone you don’t really get along with.
For a church.
And salvation.
And Jesus’ death on the cross.
And for a yellow shirt.
And for a pair of socks.
Even if they don’t match.
For a friend that loves you.
For parents that love you.
For someone to talk to.
For someone to pray to.
For peace.
For living in Canada.
And for learning about this country.
For catechism.
For homework.
For catechism homework.
For a mind.
For eyes.
For a pinky finger.
For a future.
For a past.
For a sister that keeps you on track.
Even if that means she tells on you.
For someone to be there for years to come when all your friends are gone. F
or a bright future.
For rain.
For sun.
For joy.
For sadness.
Be thankful.
You’ve received everything. Everything that you’ve ever needed. You’ve got it. So be thankful.
