11, 12, 13, 14. I love this man

Each night we have a routine. A goodnight routine.

Now let me just say that this routine changes some nights. We don't always go to bed at the same time. I'm an early to bed, early to rise. He's a late to bed, late to rise.

But most nights, even if we don't go to bed at the same time, we have this routine:

We lay in bed. Obviously!
We talk. And talk. And talk. And talk. And talk.
You get the picture. It's our time to unwind and figure out how the day was and talk about the future and look back at the past.
I love it. That's why I love this man.

Oh wait, that wasn't why I was going to write this post.

I'll continue.

We then read the Bible. Currently we are in Ezekial.
We begun reading through the Bible when we first started dating. I can still remember the first time we read together. Mike was about to leave, go home to his home far away and he asked if I would like it if we closed together to end the evening. I was blown away because in all my imagining a perfect boyfriend, I forgot to imagine that part. The men that I had seen as 'potential' wouldn't have done that. And I fell in love with him right there. Boy, I love this man. Oh I digress again. Again, not part of my story.

Anyway, we started reading at 1 Corinthians and have since read through the rest of the New Testament from that point on, read the Old Testament till Ezekial, and Matthew and Mark. I love how when we read together we come up with different insights into the passage. Different things strike us and we talk about them. I love him for that.

After reading, we pray together. Another good, good thing!

Then we usually talk some more. Usually during our talking we laugh. A lot. We're like that.

Then, the reason that I was writing this story. Another reason that I love this man.

We say goodnight. There is a kiss or two. And a goodnight or two.

We might talk a little more. Make another joke. A reminder of two of something we thought of that we should mention.

But no matter how many times that we come up with just one more thing to say, one more thing to mention, we always, always, always, end with

"Goodnight"

"Goodnight"

"I love you!"

"I love you too!"

It's something that is important to me. That's the last word that I hear before I fall asleep.
Could it get any better?

I love him. I always will. For many, many more goodnights. Thank you Lord!

p.s. I'm tagging this a few times for 101. Just so that you know. I said I love him many times in the story and I'll tag it for all those times.
