Baptism

A few Sundays ago, Liam Nathan was baptised.

There are so many thoughts and feelings that surrounded this day, I'm not sure that a few words will be able to do it justice.

Many a time in the past 6+ years baptism have caused tears to flow. The longing for a child and the blessing of community would often overwhelm the beauty of the day.

And now, the baptism of our son. OUR SON!

It was a beautiful day, and one that will be remembered for a long time. Liam adopted into the covenant family of God.  A blessing beyond measure. We pray that he will grow to love and serve the Lord with everything he does!

We also want to take a moment to thank our family and friends that came out on that day. We felt overwhelmed with the love and support that was shown to us. Thanks to those who came, those who brought food, those who wished us well, those who helped to put lunch on.  With almost 100 people, we felt very loved! Thanks!

Psalm 127
Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;

Unless the Lord guards the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain.
It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep.

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.

Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.

Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them;
They shall not be ashamed,
But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.
