I've been busy lately - storing all of the bounty of God's beautiful creation for eating in the months of cold to come.
I said to Mike as we carried another load down the stairs to the laundry room pantry, "I feel a little like a squirrel, storing things for the winter."
We live in such a beautiful part of creation and some of what I love most is the bounty of the fruit and vegetables that we can grow in our area.
So far on the shelf:
pickles
salsa
tomato soup
red pepper jelly
pears
peaches
So far in the freezer:
raspberries
strawberries
blueberries
corn
corn
beans
kale
Yet to come:
apple sauce
apple pie filling
