52 km

This past Saturday, Mike and I joined 280 others to bike 52km from Fort Erie to MacFarland Park in support of an aids clinic in South Africa.

It.was.hard!

I had biked a little in prep, and true to his style, Mike hadn't prepped at all!
I suppose the first half wasn't so bad, but the second half included a very long hill and several smaller ones.

Here we are at the start, still smiling!

About half way we had to bike on this board walk right by the power plant and the falls. Very cool!

Half way, still smiling.

We stopped amongst the tourists at the Falls for a minute.

We were still smiling then, but little did we know that a very large hill was just around the corner.

I don't have any pictures of us at the end, because really, who wants to see a picture of us all tired, sweaty, and maybe not smiling?
