Let me start by saying, Wow!
Over the long weekend, we went to the cottage to help Mom and Dad open up the camp (read: clean, clean, chop wood, more cleaning, fix broken things, tear out floors.)
Sunday evening, as we sat on the dock and enjoyed the beautiful weather, a bird flew over our head. Here's where the good part comes in. At first I wasn't sure what kind of bird it was. Then I asked, hesitantly, "Is that a bald eagle?"
Sure enough, right in front of us, this georgeous bird, swoops down, catches a fish, and flies to a tree across the lake.
We were in awe.
Mike has always said that he wanted to see a bald eagle in its natural habitat. We caught a glimpse of one on the Cabot Trail, but he wanted to see more.
So, being the 'photographer' that I am, I ran back to the cottage to go and get my camera. Yes, I said ran back to the cottage. I'd left it there. My cousin and I hopped in a canoe and rowed to the other side of the lake.
This is what we saw.
But then, oh, but then...
Thank You, Father, for Your wonderful creation. Thank You for showing us how great a God You are. Thank You for the creatures that bring us to a state of awe. Thank You for showing us Your beautful creation and allowing us to enjoy and share in the joy of knowing the Creator.
