Does that title even make any sense? It does in my mind. Ok, let me explain.
When your life is going well and things are falling into place, it's easy to say 'I trust God completely with my life". It's easy to trust that He is in control. It's easy to trust that 'all things will work together for good to those who love God'. It's easy to say and easy to practice and easy to believe.
But, when times get tough its not so easy to trust. When things don't go the way that you had planned, its suddenly not so easy anymore. Suddenly you are called to really trust. To believe all the things that you've said for so long. To follow in the path that He has chosen for you and to believe that this path is even better than what you dreamt up for yourself.
Yup, I just said it....
and to believe that this path is even better than what you dreamt up for yourself.
Suddenly it's not so easy anymore. Suddenly, when the rubber hits the road, the test becomes a trial. It becomes hard. Really hard.
And that's when we are called to trust.
To trust that He knows what is best.
To trust that He will fulfill His promises to you.
To trust that in the end you will receieve the crown of life.
To trust that no matter what, your life is good. If you are following in His path, your life is good. Good. Really really good.
And that is when it is not easy to trust. But that is when you are called, more than ever to trust in His unfailing love and faithfullness.
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
The God of my strength, in whom I will trust;
The God of my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation,
My stronghold and my refuge;
My Savior, You save me from violence.
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised;
So shall I be saved from my enemies.
He also brought me out into a broad place;
He delivered me because He delighted in me.
For You are my lamp, O LORD;
The LORD shall enlighten my darkness.
For by You I can run against a troop;
For by You I can run against a troop;
By my God I can leap over a wall.
As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the LORD is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
For who is God, except the LORD?
And who is a rock, except our God?
God is my strength and power,
And He makes my way perfect.
God is my strength and power,
And He makes my way perfect.
